Though I waited weeks leading up to this big rivalry, I've never been so frustrated at a football game. Field pass holders, who would rather spend the night texting, stood further out onto the field than head coaches, blocking photographers' view, TV crew jumped in the way, stadium staff enforced rather imposing restrictions and my biggest tick was that my pylon diving touchdown photo was ever so slightly out of focus. I tried to mentally regroup after cursing at myself, but despite all my annoyances I am extremely thankful for Penn State beat photographer Barry Reeger's willingness to have me along. This was my first Penn State game so I guess I better shut up about my complaints if I want more! Our coverage plan was for Barry to shoot in front of PSU and me in front of visiting Ohio State for the night. Since there was too much commotion on the sidelines, we tended to stay in the endzones, which unfortunately meant some extreme crops.
Here are a few of my view. Staying positive for better luck next time!
